Gold Coast & Byron Bay Elopement Photographer

Eloping these days just means doing it your way, with no seating chart in sight. A headland at sunrise, your four favourite people and a bottle of bubbles, or just you two and a celebrant. I'm an elopement photographer on the Gold Coast and in Byron Bay, and there's no schedule to wrangle at these, so it's just you two being you two. Which is exactly what I'm there for.

LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

HI! I'M LAUREN

Lauren Clare Photography about me

My approach is a mix of documentary, atmospheric and refined. I’ll be right there amongst it all, cameras in hand, bringing a joke or two and a genuine love for capturing people in love.

I’ve always been obsessed with photos and the feeling they bring. You know when you were a kid, waiting what felt like an eternity to get a roll of film developed? I still get that feeling.

I love taking photos, but even more than that, I love what they give you years later. The ability to look back on a moment, remember the details and reconnect with a time in your life that means so much.

I work with couples who want their wedding or elopement captured in an unobtrusive, honest and natural way, with a balance of candid moments, raw emotion and beautiful, timeless imagery.

From sun-soaked golden hour portraits to the in-between moments, I want to capture your connection, your personalities and what makes the two of you, you.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN WE HAVE?

There’s no strict rule, but I’d generally consider an elopement to be up to around 20 guests. If your guest list is growing beyond that, you’re probably heading into micro wedding territory, but good news, I photograph these too! See micro wedding photography). If you are wanting a big beautiful wedding, take a look at my wedding photography packages!

where to elope on the Gold Coast & in Byron

Burleigh Headland at sunrise. Currumbin Alley at sunset. Springbrook for rainforest and waterfalls. The Byron hinterland for paddocks and fig trees. Lennox Head when you want that endless ocean. Some spots need a permit, especially National Parks and council beaches. I'll help you work out which.

planning it together

This is where my years in events actually come in handy: picking the spot, timing it for the best light, a plan B if the weather turns, and celebrants and florists who are great at small days. Your sneak peek arrives within 48 hours.

what if the weather turns?

We move the time, move the spot, or just go with it. Some of the best elopement photos happen in the wind and the drizzle.
