Gold Coast Hinterland & Tamborine Mountain Wedding Photographer

Head inland for under an hour and suddenly you need a cardigan. Rainforest, big ridge lines and estates where you can get ready, say I do and dance all night without anyone needing to get in a car. I'm a Tamborine Mountain wedding photographer (and the rest of the Gold Coast hinterland too), and it's all a quick drive from home.

Tamborine Mountain weddings

Wineries, rainforest retreats and lookouts that go all the way to the coast. It's a few degrees cooler up the mountain, which is a gift in summer.

In winter? Bring a jacket for the evening, or drink more wine...

Currumbin Valley & Tallebudgera

Rock pools, winding country roads and some of the prettiest estates on the coast, The Valley Estate in Currumbin Valley being a great example. You're 20 minutes from the beach but it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best way).

Springbrook, Beechmont & Natural Bridge

Big views, waterfalls and rainforest. Montara Hall being a personal fave! Best of All Lookout at Springbrook is exactly what it says on the tin, and the walk to Purling Brook Falls is a stunner if you're up for it.

a few things about hinterland light

The sun drops behind the ridges earlier than it does on the coast, so golden hour comes sooner. The mist can roll in fast (and look incredible when it does).

Can we elope at Springbrook?

Yes. Some spots are National Parks and need a permit, and I'll help you check which.

What happens if it rains up the mountain?

Most hinterland venues have a covered option, and honestly, a bit of mist through the rainforest makes for some of the moodiest, most beautiful photos.
